WWII German Political Leader’s Buckle-This appears to be an unissued example of a political leader’s aluminum buckle in gold gilt. The gold finish is 99% intact and terrific looking. The gilt on the highlights is excellent. The highly detailed keeper is in place. This is very nicely marked on the reverse with the RZM motto and the code M 4/87 for the maker Matthias Salcher & Söhne, of Wagstadt. The reverse of this buckle has no finish on the catch, though this was originally manufactured this way. A very interesting variation by a scarce maker.
