WWII German Luftwaffe Flak Summer Officer Tunic and Trousers-This set is produced in very soft and lightweight white cotton. The jacket has some discoloration and some staining as you can see in the pics. It isn’t terrible but there is some definite discoloration. There are four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. There is a four button closure and all buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. There are slip on shoulder boards in matte grey flat wire over red badge cloth. These are for the rank of leutnant (second lieutenant) in flak (artillery). The collar tabs are sewn on at the four corners. Some of the summer blouses has removable, snap on tabs but this one does not. Each tab is red badge cloth with silver bullion rope twist and a single gull/oak leaf in silver bullion. The breast eagle is a metal, pin back version attached via a pair of loops. There is a very nice adjutants aiguillette as well. There are loops on the left side for a pair of badges and a long medal/ribbon bar. The interior is of course unlined. There is a pocket on the left side. There is a strap with D ring for an edged weapon. The tunic is a size medium. The trousers are very clean and in fine condition. They are straight legged with slash typer hip pockets and a single buttoned rear pocket. There is a four button fly with an additional button at the waist. The buttons are white bakelite. There is a rear cinch belt and buttons inside for suspenders etc. They measure 44” in length and the waist is a size 30. A scarcely found style!
