WWII German Army Signals Officer Waffenrock-This private purchase example is produced in very soft field grey wool. There is ever so slight discoloration and a few extremely tiny spots of wear only. There is an eight button closure and all of the buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. Each edge of the closure seam is piped in lemon yellow, as is the front and lower edge of the green badge cloth collar, the tail and the green badge cloth French cuffs. The collar tabs are lemon yellow badge cloth with bright silver bullion columns and litzen. The sew in shoulder boards have a bright silver flat wire face over lemon yellow badge cloth with a secondary underlay of light grey badge cloth (reserve). There is a button under the right side shoulder board for an aiguillette. Each has a pair of pips with the number “48” ciphers. This is for a signals hauptmann or captain. The breast eagle is bright silver bullion with bright silver flat wire highlights over a dark green wool underlay. There are loops for a small ribbon bar on the left breast. There are lemon yellow cuff tabs with silver bullion columns and litzen. The interior is fully lined in green rayon. There is very minor wear and discoloration from use and age. There is a tailor tag in the neck area. There are a few seams that are slightly separated and the waist belt has been removed. There is a single pocket on the left side and two smaller vertical pockets in the tail. It is a size medium. Overall very good condition!
