Veteran Bring Back Luftwaffe Officer’s Sword by SMF-This is an absolutely untouched exterior, it has a great darkly toned nickel silver fittings. The brass color in the inlaid sunwheel swastikas on both the pommel and the crossguard is 90%. The leather buffer is still in place under the crossguard. This sword measures 36 ½ inches (92.71cm) in length. Be aware that there are some small nicks on the blue Moroccan leather on the grip. This is not a distraction. The grip wire is in place and nicely toned. The blue Moroccan leather-bound scabbard is in sound only condition with visible nicks and a significant tear to the side. There is a small tear in the leather about mid-way down. The ball fitting at the tip is in good shape with no major denting. The blade is near excellent and shows SMF Knight logo under the crossguard. There are minimal dark spots and some slight edge nicks but overall, this is a desirable Luftwaffe sword. This was purchased from the family of a US veteran of the 12th armored division. We will supply the name of this vet to the buyer. Great looking sword.
