The blade is unmarked, and was probably a one of a kind item!  Beautiful!  It is a MUST for the serious Navy collector!  The solid brass parts have a gorgeous, matching patina throughout.  The pommel appears to be an early Eickhorn product being the 1938 replacement pommel having the slanted wreath and swastika (Volume III, page 246).  The swastika is very subdued with background pebbling.  The entire pommel shows NO wear/age.  The grip is off-white almost ivory color, being the celluloid over wood variety.  The only signs of wear are evident to the upper reverse area in the form of a light scratch.  The grip grades near mint.  It is tightly wrapped with fine, twisted brass wire.  The crossguard is void of any blade release button which we occasionally find on some original pieces.  The blade is the plain style that remains bright and shiny having a double fuller construction.  The edges and tip are totally crisp and untouched!  The obverse ricasso is etched in a three line customization “O. Ltnt / Z. See / K.Sp”.  The blade easily grades mint!  There is NO maker mark to the obverse or reverse ricasso areas.  The original red felt washer is intact.  The scabbard is also a one of a kind product having an unadorned shell that displays very minor storage/carrying taps.  Beautiful!  The scabbard bands contain oak leafs and acorns with the eyelets being adorned with a single rope segment and beveled edges (Volume III, Page 246).  The scabbard throat is retained by two brass domehead side screws that show NO signs of being turned.  Finally, the upper reverse scabbard is matching etched with the owner’s initials “K” superimposed with the letter “S”.  Here’s your opportunity to own a UNIQUE piece of history!  Mint.
