German WWII SS EM/NCO Buckle by RODO-This is one of the rarest SS buckles around. This is the sought after steel SS buckle that has the green painted finish. This example retains 80% of its original green paint. Some finish is missing on the high points of the front details, which is to be expected. The reverse retains the majority of its original green finish, but unfortunately it is missing its bar. You can see where the legs would be, including the impression of where the bent catch tab would be. This bent tab is a specific RODO design, it is orientated this way as to interfere with the eagle. This is nicely marked on the reverse for RODO. Despite the missing its bar, this buckle is in very good condition, and would make a great display piece. A scarce find, especially with this much of its original paint in place.
