German WWII Hitler Youth Buckle-This is a steel, stamped example. The eagle, motto and HJ diamond do show some wear, but still have strong details. This does have some rusting showing through the nickel finish, especially to the highest points of the details. The nickel silver finish is mostly intact on both the obverse and reverse with light toning and slight rusting in spots. The reverse is well marked near the catch with the code M4/23 RZM for Franke & Co. This has a steel rollbar and prongs. This is a nice looking, heavy duty buckle. A handsome example.
