German WWII Five Medal Bar for Army-This 5-medal bar is in excellent condition. The medals presented are: 1. War Merit Cross w/Swords which were awarded to military personnel and civilians, including females and foreigners, for exemplary service and/or bravery in Germany’s war effort, in a non-combatant role. The addition of swords to the award signified bravery. 2. A WWI 1915 Württemberg Kingdom-Wilhelm Cross w/Swords. 3. German Cross of Honor 1914-1918 W/ Swords (Hindenburg Cross)-One of the very first party awards designed to show service during the First World War for combatants. 4. Army 25 year long service award with Cypher and the last 5. Army 12 year long service award with Cypher. The backing of this long medal bar is a black felt that is in very good shape. As is the long horizontal pin set. An excellent early medal bar.
