German WWII Carbide Railroad Lantern-Painted in an ordinance tan, this Reich Railway conductor/trainman's lantern has a brass carbide burner. This stands approximately 18 inches high if the chain and hook are fully extended. The body itself is approximately 9 inches high with the handle being another 3 ½ inches high. It retains about 70% of its original finish. You can remove the lens doors and the interior has the complete set up for the kerosene lantern. It has a wooded carrying handle. Nicely marked “ago” for Luft, E., Eisen- und Metallwarenfabrik, Tetschen a/Elbe. Overall sound and untouched and uncleaned. This might clean up nicely but we’ll leave that to you!
