German WWII Army EM Buckle w/Leather Tab-This is a textbook, early example in pebbled aluminum. The green/gray finish on this buckle is mostly missing except for what could be seen in the lowest details. There is moderate wear to the details on the front of the buckle. The eagle’s feathers and lower wreath do show heavy wear. Someone wore the heck out of this buckle. There is more finish remaining to the reverse but there was also some scuffing as well. Please be aware that there is some storage damage to the leather tab. The leather well has been folded over the buckle during storage, and there is a strip of leather that has adhered to the catch. We have not attempted to scrape this off. But this also means that there is a piece of leather strip missing from the tab. Despite this, the leather tab is in sound condition. It is dated 1937 with a date that can be clearly read. This is a good example of an early pre-war buckle. If you like it a bit salty, this buckle is for you.
