German WWI 1914 Black Wound Badge-This is the stamped steel example of a WWI wound badge. Notice there is no swastika on the helmet. This has some rust on the lower left side of the helmet, so please be sure to look closely at the photos. This badge retains the majority of its black finish in the lowest areas of the badge. The remaining steel has a handsome charcoal gray color, that blends nicely with the black of the badge. This has handsome details. The reverse of the badge shows more rusting. The pin setup functions as intended. Overall, a good example.
