German Postal Leaders Dagger Portepee- A scarce item consisting of a stylized acorn and stem constructed of multiple rows of twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire over wood and cotton, suspended from a cord constructed of woven cotton wrapped with flat silver aluminum wire with orange cotton woven accents throughout, (exhibits fraying) lower acorn insert finished with an orange wool, measuring ca. 43cm. Extremely rare original!
