German NSKK /SA Buckle-An example of an early two piece constructed brass buckle with separately attached silver roundel, worn by the NSKK (National Socialist Motor Corps) or the SA. This example has a plain field, with a stamped motif of an eagle with outstretched wings on a silver rondel. This has the mobile swastika in the center. The finish on the silver rondel is missing, except for what remains in the lowest details. The details are nice, but they do show wear, especially to the high points such as the eagle’s chest feathers, and wreath. The brass is a nice tone, there is verdigris to the lower right corner. The reverse shows the solder on the prongs that hold the rondel in place. The reverse has a half-moon shaped catch and nickel-plated steel roll bar and prongs. Overall, in good condition.
