Very Desirable WWII Imperial Japanese Navy Helmet with Cover-This is formerly of the Eric Doody collection. The steel shell has an olive drab finish that remains 75% intact. There is a metal insignia at the front for Imperial Japanese Landing Forces. It remains tightly affixed. The interior show lots of wear from use, which is good! It is a three pad leather liner system with webbed canvas suspension that is intact with wear. There is a leather liner band. The side of the interior has white script that reads 7049. The best part is that the cover that is on it has been with it forever! You can see the staining and how it lines up with the shell. Wow! The cover does have some wear and tear in all the right placed. The cloth anchor at the front is in fine condition. This is a special example
