WWII US 100th Infantry Division “Ike” Jacket-This example is produced in dark olive drab wool that is in good condition, remaining clean and with only one tiny hole above the left pocket and another on the right sleeve. It has a four-button closure and all buttons are brown bakelite. There are pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps. The left sleeve has a 100th Infantry “Century” sleeve patch plus the “ghost” of a removed sergeant patch. The “Ghost’ of a sergeant patch is also seen on the right sleeve. There is a “Ruptured Duck” diamond above the right breast pocket. You can see that there were “D.I.’s” on the lapels at one point. The interior is fully lined in dark olive drab cotton blend material that is clean. There is a pocket on each side. The right pocket has a tailor tag dated June 2, 1944 and indicating that the tailor was Fabric Garment Co. and that the size is a 38 L. There is a small size tag in the neck with the same size listed. The lower right sleeve has a Meritorious Unit Citation patch. A sound example overall!
