WWII US Model 1942 Jump Pants, KIA 82nd Airborne Paratrooper-These pants belonged to Private Alvin Bains who was killed in action on December 21, 1944 in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the 504th Parachute Infantry, Company I, 3rd Battalion. These are very desirable in the early configuration i.e. non reinforced etc. They are produced in olive drab #3 cotton and are in excellent condition. There is very minor wear and discoloration only. Each leg has a patch pocket with angled, two button snap closure flaps. All buttons are present. There are a pair of pockets in the rear. The interior has a small tag that says Phild. Quartermaster Depot. There is a small tag stapled inside with his name, “A. Bains”. The waist is a size 30 and these are 42” in length. A great set!
