WWII German Luftwaffe Flight/Paratrooper Officer Fliegerblouse-This desirable tunic is absolutely original, but it does have a huge amount of wear and many holes as well. It is produced in blue grey wool with areas of damage, wear and discoloration. It has two hip pockets with buttoned flaps. There is a four button closure and all buttons are blue bakelite. The collar tabs are yellow badge cloth with two gulls and an oak leaf sprig, all rendered in silver bullion, on each. The tabs are also piped in a silver bullion twist rope. A silver bullion twist rope is also seen at the front and lower edges of the fold down collar. The sew in shoulder boards have a bright silver flat wire face with yellow badge cloth underlay. There is a single pip on each. They are in fine condition. The rank is for a leutnant, or 1st lieutenant. The breast eagle is hand applied and a bit loose., with some wear around the edges. This may be reapplied. It is silver bullion and a beautiful example. The interior is partially lined in a heavy light brown cotton. This also has a lot of wear and discoloration from use. There is a bandage pocket on the lower right side. The left side has maker information as well as the sizing ink stamped onto it. This is on a large pocket on the left side. There are a pair of belt straps sewn to the interior. This one is a salty dog!
