Allgemeine SS Motoreinheiten 2 (Fulda-Werra) NCO Jacket and Breeches-This example is privately purchased and of a very good quality. Please read on and enjoy! Starting with the tunic, which is tailored in black trikot wool that is in fine condition aside from two very small old repair to the lower right front. There are pleated breast pockets with scalloped flaps. The hip pockets are internal and also have scalloped flaps. There is a four buttons closure and all buttons are nickel silver finished pebbled metal. The lower button is missing (we will include a replacement). The lay down collar is lined along the outer edge with a black and white cloth twist rope piping. Both collar tabs are black badge cloth with a black cloth/silver flat wire twist rope piping. The right side has machine embroidered script that reads “M2” for Motorsturm 2. The left side has a single bright silver metal pip for the rank of unterscharführer (sergeant). The pip is through the collar and both of the tabs are hand applied. The right side has a single, 1934 pattern shoulder board of alternating black and white cloth cord. The underside is black badge cloth and there is a black cloth SS RZM tag underneath. There are three loops on the left breast pocket, perhaps for an award and a party pin? One is a bit tattered. The left sleeve has a wool SS armband. It is in good condition, with minor wear and discoloration only. It has a black tape stripe at the upper and lower edges. There is a separated applied white ribbed cloth disc with multi piece black tape swastika. The left cuff has a cuff title with blue piping and the number “5”. This is actually for an SS Foot Regiment so the insignia (M2 and 5) do not actually go together. The cuff title is a bit loosely applied. The right sleeve has an NSKK style NCO drivers qualification diamond. Let’s assume that the insignia is reapplied on this one. The interior is fully lined in soft black cotton. It is excellent. There is a single pocket on the left side. The breeches are also tailored in black trikot wool. They have a five-button hidden fly, angled slit waist pockets with button closure, watch pocket with button flap, rear pocket with single button scalloped flap, ankles with lace and eyelet closure. They are partially lined in black brushed cotton. The waist is a size 30 and these are 36” in length. A very nice grouping overall!
