WWII US M-1 with Vietnam War Cover-The cover has been on this example for an eternity. The shell is a fixed bale, front seam example. The finish shows moderate wear and there are a few small dings and dents. The chinstrap is OD 3 with brass hardware that is missing some of the finish and has some verdigris on it. The number “92” is painted in yellow across the front of the shell. The early 1960’s cover is reversible and maker marked. The wear on the shell matches the wear on the interior of the cover. The WWII Westinghouse liner is excellent, retaining most of its pale green finish. The OD 3 suspension, sweatband and nape strap are all excellent, as is the leather sweatband and chinstrap. A good example overall!
