WWII German Army Winter Panzer Beret- This is a very scarce example. The body is olive drab crayon over a rigid inner structure. The front and rear have flaps that are fixed and lined in rabbit fur. The sides have flaps that are tied at the top and fold down like a winter cap. These are also lined in rabbit fur. The front flap has an aluminum army eagle. The interior is lined in black leather. It has minor wear and discoloration only. There is a soft, tan leather sweatband. The sweatband is stamped with the size, 56. The underside of the sweatband is stamped with the maker name, Carl Halfar. Also seen is the size once again, 56 and a date, November 1937. Excellent and scarce!
