Veteran Bring Back German WWII Cased War Merit Cross 1st Class w/ Swords-This badge has lost all of its original silver finish. There is still a slight hint of the shiny silver on the inside edges, so when you turn it slightly you can see some shine. The details to the swastika are quite worn, so please be sure to look closely at the photos. This pin is marked “65” for Klein & Quenzer, as is the black leatherette case. The inside lining is marked under the top for the same maker. The top is lined in an off-white silk and the bottom is lined with beige velvet bottom lining. There is a slot in the bottom to hold the pin and keep the award flush in the case. The top of the case shows a facsimile of the award on the top in an embossed silver. There is moderate scuffing to the top of the box, but still in very good condition. The lock on the case works perfectly. This example was brought home by a US veteran, we will supply the name to the buyer.
