US Marine Clock by Chelsea Clock-This is a newer model, non WWII. This cool clock would have been sold in the 1970’s. This 6” Marine Mechanical Clock was originally sold to the US Navy Department on September 29, 1970. In the 1940’s and beyond, Chelsea Clock of Massachusetts was the primary supplier of clocks for ships in the U.S. Navy. The case is made of a very durable phenolic resin which was jointly developed by the Navy and Chelsea Clock so the clock would not break or shatter if it fell on the deck of the ship. This white dial clock features 12/24-hour time with black numerals. The dial is marked with “Chelsea Clock Co. Boston U.S. Government 754805”. This works, we had it running for a few days here in the office. You will, of course, need a clock key and we have found a new replacement which we will include.  If you are curious, take a look at the Chelsea clock website, you can find that this clock originally sold for $1,500. A great vintage looking clock from a famous clock maker.
