German WWII War Merit Medal- A very good example with correct, original ribbon. This was awarded to recognize service by civilians, both German and non-German, in connection with the war effort, and was mostly awarded to people working in war factories. It is in bronze with a design of the War Merit Cross on the obverse and the inscription “Für Kreigs Verdienst 1939”, “For War Merit 1939”, on the reverse. The ribbon on this example is very clean and measures 2 ¾ inches (6.9cm) long. This is a very good example.
