German WWII Political Leader’s Eagle and Cockade Wreath-This is a handsome cockade and eagle set for a political leader. The eagle is made of tombac and retains all of its original gold finish. It is beautifully marked on the reverse with RZM M 1/16 which indicates the maker is Dr Franke & Co of Lüdenscheid. The wreath is made of zinc and has lost the majority of its bright gold finish, what remains is in the lowest points off the textured wreath. The cockade is in good shape with the red and black enamels are still in place and very good. The wreath shows some verdigris on the reverse so please look closely at the photos. Overall, this set is very good and would be a decent match for your political leader’s visor cap.
