German WWII Army Officer’s Doctors Visor Cap-A salty example of a private purchase army officer’s visor cap with dark blue piping for medical personnel. This has a nice saddle shape but has some moderate discoloration. There are a few moth tracks, and some nap is missing from the body of the cap. This has an early burnished tombac army eagle. The wreath is the optional purchase bullion with a metal cockade. This makes for an overall good-looking appearance. The interior shows moderate to heavy use, with the diamond shaped moisture shield intact, and traces of the manufacturer’s information. The slip in the moisture shield has the doctors name which is Dr. Schiller. The green leather sweatband shows heavy use and has some tears and is separated. There are also a few stitches that appear to reinforce the visor to the body of the cap. Overall very good condition and priced accordingly. A scarce insignia combination!
