German Reichsheer Enlisted Ranks Buckle-This is the two-piece version of this type with a separately soldered roundel. It is finished in matte nickel/silver which has toned just slightly. This buckle retains fantastic detail with little to no visible wear to the eagle, wreath, motif. The entire field is pebbled. This is the Reichsheer buckle with the Weimar style eagle in the center with the motto “Gott Mit Uns” in a semi-circle above the eagle. This buckle shared time of use with the “new” style TR buckles introduced in 1935. The reverse has a half-moon style catch and the roll bar and prongs are produced in plated steel, giving this buckle a bit of added weight. An excellent example!
