WWII German Gendarmerie Model 1943 Field Cap-This Austrian made cap is produced in blue green wool that is in very good condition. There is minor wear and discoloration only. The top panel is piped in orange cloth. This has a single button closure at the front. There is a toned, nickel plated cockade with red felt bulls eye plus an aluminum police eagle and wreath that is excellent. The interior is fully lined in olive drab cotton. It does have some wear and a few small holes. The sweatband is ersatz leather and it is worn and age crazed. It is approximately a size 55. This is a very nice piece overall!
