WWII German Army DAK Pith Helmet-This example has a body of tan canvas. There is minor discoloration to the body, with some imperfections in the shell that look like dents, and it is a bit out of shape. Both of the shields are present and in fine condition. The army shield is tombak and the tri color is zinc. The green leather trim around the brim is heavily worn. The same leather is used for the chinstrap, which is present but much shorter than it originally was. The underside of the brim is the same tan canvas as the exterior. The interior is lined in a dusky red cloth that has minor wear and discoloration only. The tan leather sweatband is soft and supple, with minor wear and discoloration. The maker is stamped on the underside as is the size, 56. A sound example overall!
