Very Early Third Reich Ort Level Political Leader Visor Cap-This is a very early type, produced in olive brown ribbed cotton. It has minor wear and discoloration. There are a few holes but they are located in inconspicuous places like under the folds of the cap. There is one small one on the top panel and another just below the eagle. The blue piping is intact and only lightly faded. The center band is the same material and color as the rest of the cap. The eagle is tombak and in the political style. There finish is worn. The cockade is the early enamel style. The chin cord is toned silver bullion and in fine condition. There are nickel silver finished pebbled metal buttons holding it in place. The visor is brown leather. It is a little stuff and has some crazing but it is tightly affixed. The interior is fully lined in orange brown rayon. The moisture shield is mostly missing. The logo is an eagle in a wreath with the script “Deutsche Industrie”. The sweatband is orange brown leather. It is still soft and has only minor wear and discoloration. The large RZM tag is present but separated from the cap. It is a size 55. A desirable example!
