Imperial German Model 1915 Bavarian Spiked Helmet-This combat helmet is produced in black leather. It has some minor crazing and fading but is in overall very nice condition. The spike, Bavarian frontal plate, spike base, spine and visor trim are all grey finished steel as per regulation. The finish varies but is still visible. The chinstrap is original but not the correct size for this helmet. The red, white and black cockade is original but the white and blue Bavarian one is a POST WAR REPRO included for free. The interior has a leather liner that has minor wear and discoloration. It is still soft and supple. There is a manufacturer ink stamp with the date of manufacture, 1916. The date is also hand written to the interior as well. This is a good example overall!
