Imperial German Artillery Pickelhaube-This has a body of black patent leather. There are lots of areas of age crazing and fading but it still looks good. The Prussian frontal plate is matte brass while the ball, ball base spine and visor trim are all polished brass. There is a brown leather chinstrap which has lots of age crazing. There are brass buckles and the metal cockades are present as well. The leather liner is very ratty. It is only partially intact. Still, a very nice helmet!
