Fire Brigade Honour Badge, 1st Class, With Case-(Reichsfeuerwehr-Ehrenzeichen I. Klasse mit Etui)-Instituted 30 January 1938. (1936-1945 issue). Constructed of gilded tombak with multi-colored enamels, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with white enameled arms overlaid by stylized red flames, bearing a central white enameled disc overlaid by a black mobile swastika, the arms joined together through the quadrants by a circular ring bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM FEUER-LÖSCHWESEN” (“FOR MERIT IN FIRE-FIGHTING”), unmarked, measuring ca 43.36 mm x 47.64 mm, weighing ca 17.4 grams, complete with case of issue; constructed of heavy cardstock, with a black pebble textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior with embossed gilt line around exterior edges, the interior with a padded white rayon lid liner, missing hinge cover, a black velvet recessed ribbon bed, a fitted bed for cross, a functional spring catch and stud release, functional exterior metal, unmarked, measuring 105mm x 65 mm x 20 mm.
