German WWII Luftwaffe Single NCO Musician Swallows Nest-This single example for a Luftwaffe signals musician. This swallow would have been worn on the shoulder of a musician playing in a signals regimental band. It is in sound condition with some discoloration, moth bites and some tracking. The tresse is a silver ribbed stripe and the backing is an orange cloth. The bottom of the shoulder board is trimmed with the same silver. The reverse is lined in a gray badge cloth. There are a series of metal hooks that would have held these in place on the shoulder of the wearer. The colors are still vibrant, and only slightly faded from age. Overall, in sound condition due to the moth bites.
