German Early Sign for the Prussian Registry Office-This large white enameled concaved street sign measures approx. 13 inches wide by 15 ¾ inches high. This has an early Prussian style Eagle above the black gothic script that reads “Preußisch Standesamt”. Above the eagle is the motto “Gott Mit Uns” (God with us). There is some crazing and slight discoloration to the front of this sign. There are also a few collector repairs, you can see where the edges and corners of the enamel was touched up with white paint. But this is not a huge liability, but please be sure to look closely at the photos to see for yourself. There are four holes in each corner for mounting. A beauty and not one seldom encountered.
