In 1943 when this book was published, Prague was the capital of the Czech Republic. This 8 ½” X 12-inch hard cover book contains 100 photographs in stereoscopy. The book comes with the original, collapsible viewer which, if you look through it at the photos, it makes the photos appear three-dimensional! The pictures and the viewer are stored in die cut compartments inside the front and back covers. This makes the covers quite thick and accordingly heavy and therefore many of these stereoscopy books that survived are damaged. This copy is in very good condition. The scarce book is complete with 96 remaining photos, there are 4 photos missing, #1, #21, #40 and #54. The remaining stereoscopy pictures (which measure 5” x 2” are in excellent shape, as is the original 3d viewer. This rare book will make a great asset to anyone’s collection of rare original artifacts!
