German WWII Steel DRK First Aid Kit (Bandaid Box)-This is a steel box that led many lives. This box measures 14 inches (35.56cm) long, 7 inches (17.78cm wide and 5 inches (12.7cm) deep.  It has been painted many times. You can see that is has been painted black, green and red at some point. There are multiple layers of paint. But you can still see remnants of the Luftwaffe gray paint, and the Red Cross symbol on the front. The cross is missing but you can see spots of red with the white circle where the DRK Cross would have been. The box has a white stamp that reads “Verbandkasten”. Inside the box, under the top cover, is a great contents sheet that contains the contents list along with brief instructions on use. This paper is very nicely marked with a waffenamt stamp "Wa.A 300" and a date of 1941. This is in very good condition. It is aged and there are some spots of discoloration, but this is still very readable. The box itself is set up into two compartments, one larger than the other. This box is in very good condition. It must have a very interesting story, as it has been repainted and repurposed, for what we do not know.
