German WWI Canteen-This canteen has the usual brown felt covering over its aluminum body. The cup is made of steel and retains approx. 40% of its original green paint. This model may be marked, but I am afraid to unsnap the top of the brown felt cover, since it is very stiff. It may break apart. Please be aware of this. It does already show usage from age, so please be aware of this and look closely at the photos. The brown leather straps also show wear but are a very nice brown tone. This is complete with a nice shoulder strap. This is very early and is complete with all the pieces. It is a great looking canteen.
