German M31 Model Wehrmacht Canteen-This M31 canteen in very good condition. The wool covering does have one moderate sized hole, so please be sure to look closely at the photos. The leather harness and buckles are all in very good condition. The neck of the flask is nicely marked with W.A.L. 42 which indicates production by Westfalische Aluminium Industrie, Junger & Co. of Lüdenscheid. It is also nicely dated1942. The black Bakelite cap is present and nicely marked with the MPD code 1W/S indicating the maker Julius Posselt, Gablonz an der Neisse, Reichsgau Sudetenland. The black Bakelite cup is marked and dated “gfc” 1944 for the same maker Posselt. The snap clip retains its green finish is also nicely marked with Patent Ritter. Very good shape overall.
