American Pilot or Cargo Yellow Nylon Parachute in German Bag-This is an interesting combination. This is a yellow, very large parachute made in a bright yellow nylon with white strings/ropes. It is marked and dated November 30, 1944. It has been cut from its canopy and placed in a green German canvas bag that is marked on the front. There is a name written on the front flap as well. The name reads Kaptin Karlsen. The bag has canvas strap reinforcements and a heavy-duty strap handle. The bag snaps shut with silver snaps that are well marked. The bag measures 26 inches (66.04cm) across, so this bag is big enough to accommodate this parachute. We are unsure if this parachute was captured, or found, and we do not know why it is stored in a German bag. Both the parachute and the bag are in very good condition. How you will display it, we are unsure but please let us know!
