Veteran Bring Back-German WWII Hitler Youth Knife by RZM M7/38-This Hitler Youth knife is by the maker Paul Seilheimer of Solingen. This hilt has a heavy nickel silver plated finish that is 98% in place. This is a nice honest example of an early RZM HJ knife by a good maker. The checkered grip plates are very good, they do show some scuffing on the reverse, but overall are in very good condition. The HJ diamond is tightly in place and shows minimal scuffing, though the white enamel does show some age toning and slight discoloration. This is not a distraction, but you can see it under the magnifying glass. The black leather buffer is in place under the crossguard. You can see the RZM code deeply etched into the ricasso of the blade. This is the contract number, RZM M7/38, for the maker Paul Seilheimer. This blade has been sharpened quite a bit. The scabbard finish is approx. 70% in place. The brown leather belt loop and retaining strap shows some use but is in very good condition. This knife was brought home by a US veteran, we will supply the name of the soldier to the buyer. This is an affordable HJ knife, and a nice example to boot.
