Italian Carcano Bayonet Marked and Dated 1941-This bayonet measures approx. 17 inches (43.18cm) in length with a blade length of 11 ¾ inches (29.84cm). It is used with the Italian Carcano WWII Rifle. The blued fittings on the handle have some rust which I have not attempted to clean up. The wooden grip plates are worn smooth and are being held on with two steel rivets. The grip plates have some very old chips that have rubbed smooth. The steel ribbed scabbard has lost its finish and a dark tone that matches the pommel and crossguard. The blade is very clean, and it is complete with the textbook green leather frog. The frog is a bit stiff but should condition up if you choose to do so. The blade is maker marked and dated 1941. This blade was sharpened purposely so that the soldiers could better use it.  A very interesting bayonet. Overall, this is in very good shape.
