German WWII Short Model Dress Bayonet by Anton Wingen- This is a handsome bayonet by a scarcely seen maker that has some very nice characteristics. The finish on the nickel-plated pommel, crossguard and fittings are very good, and I would say they are a conservative 90% intact. The checkered grip plates are also excellent as are the rivets. The mortise button is fully functional. The leather buffer is still in place under the crossguard as is the red felt that remains in the slot. The anodized scabbard shows only light wear and is in good condition overall. The ball at the tip is undented. The blade is near excellent and is marked with the Anton Wingen standing knight logo. This comes with a very nice black patent leather frog that is also in very good shape. This is a great short model bayonet in many ways.
