German WWII Police Officer’s Degen by Paul Weyersberg-These police swords are always a fan favorite! The nickel-plated hilt fittings are near excellent, and show only minimal wear and age. The correct officer’s style pommel cap is completely crisp with its fluted edge top.  The ferrule is nicely matched to the tone and look of the other hilts parts. And features standing oak leaves with alternating acorns. The acorn caps are nicely embellished. The quillon teardrops are beautiful. The edges of the hilt and the “D” guard also have crisp detailing. The proper white leather buffer is intact. The wire wrapped ebony wood grip shows light wear and highlights to the black finish. There are two small chips on the handle, to the upper right of the police eagle. The finely detailed two-piece Police eagle insignia is the copper style, showing faint wear to the wreathed eagle and the wreathed, raised-out swastika. This example is complete with a properly tied, handsome black and silver and red police troddel, which is in near excellent condition. The scabbard is untouched. It retains 80% of its original black paint. There are a few scuffs, and finish loss throughout, so please be sure to look closely at the photos.  The blade is very good and nicely marked with the Weyersberg logo. This sword measures 39 ½ inches (100.33cm) long with a blade length of 33 ½ inches (85.09cm). This is a handsome sword overall!
