German WWII Kriegsmarine Dagger by Hörster-This would be a great place holder in your display. This has solid brass fittings throughout. There is great detail to the hilt and crossguard. The locking mechanism on the crossguard works as it should. The crossguard is a bit loose, so please be aware of this. The off-white celluloid handle has a number of cracks, is loose, and has some dark spots. The brass grip wire is missing on this dagger. The pommel cap is nice and tight and has very good detail and tone. The lightning bolt scabbard is in very good condition, with only the usual bumps and bruises. The blade is in good condition, and has a nicely engraved fouled anchor motif on both the front and the back. You can also see the E & F Hörster logo on the obverse ricasso. Overall, this dagger is in sound condition, and priced according to my description.
