German WWII Army Officer’s Sword by Eickhorn-This example is part of the Field Marshall series and is called the “Prinz Eugen” model. This is model number 1765 from the desirable Field Marshall series. The very detailed fittings on the hilt remain approx. 85% intact and have toned to a nice darker color. The black Bakelite handle with triple wire grip wrap is in very nice condition. Be aware that there is one loose wire on the twisted wire. This example measures approx. 41” in length and has a scabbard that retains approx. 65% of its original black finish. The blade features a 1935-41 Eickhorn squirrel logo and rates near excellent. Overall, strong very good example and very desirable.
