German WWII 98K Combat Bayonet by Gebr. Heller-This is a terrific example of a combat bayonet. This is a totally matched example. The finish on the hilt is mostly intact and shows a few light rust spots but overall is in very sound condition. The brown slotted bakelite grips are in very good condition and show only the usual wear. This has the typical series of waffenamts. The scabbard with matching serial number of 7029/a is anodized and in very good condition. The scabbard remains undented, and the finish is almost fully intact. There are a few small dings, but these are hardly worth mentioning. The blade is beautiful and nicely 1938 dated on the seine of the blade. It is also very nicely marked for the maker, Gebr. Heller. This blade has a red plumbed look to it and is covered in cosmoline. This blade is untouched and in near excellent condition. It is complete with a black leather frog, and retaining strap which is unmarked and shows some wear. An excellent candidate.
