German WWII 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by R. Herder-This is a desirable dagger by a scarce maker. This has the airplane gray fittings with a ton of detail. The exterior is in very good condition. The pumpkin orange handle is very good with grip wire in place, though it is loose. There are two slight cracks just under the pommel. The pommel is slightly loose and therefore the handle is loose. We have not attempted to tighten it. The scabbard also rates excellent with detailed fittings. The blade is excellent, you can clearly see the factory cross graining. It is very nicely marked for R. Herder under the crossguard. This has a correctly tied but worn silver bullion knot with bullion acorn. Overall, this is a great example.
