German WWII 1st Model RLB Enlisted Man’s Dagger by WKC-This is an honest example of the scarce 1st model RLB dagger that has never been in a collection before. The black wooden handle has a few dents on the reverse, but these have worn smooth from time and use. Please be aware that there is a fairly large chunk taken out of the wooden handle just above the crossguard. Please be sure to look closely at the photos. The first style RLB Sunburst is in very good condition with at least 90% of the blue enameled lettering in place. The fittings are solid nickel, and they show little wear or damage. The scabbard paint is original and is 90% intact. This example is by WKC and the maker’s logo is located on the obverse of the blade. For some strange reason the veteran has put a portion of the strap from a Luftwaffe dagger instead of the usual black leather strap you find on these daggers. This is an elusive dagger and a good placeholder for the time being. Priced to sell.
