German Army Officers Dove Head Sword by Alcoso-This is a very clean example with a beautiful polished brass “P” guard and hilt. You can see engraved oak leaves throughout the back strap of the handle. The bold Wehrmacht eagle with down swept wings is displayed on the langet. The crossguard is also nicely embellished with an oakleaf motif. The black celluloid handle with triple wire wrap is intact with no damage. The original enamel scabbard paint is a full 90% with the usual wear from use. The bright polished blade is in very nice condition. It does show some water spotting, but overall is very good. The Alcoso scales logo can be seen under the crossguard. The original leather buffer is also in place under the cross guard. This sword measures approx. 40 inches (101.6cm) in length. This comes complete with an excellent army officer’s knot. Overall, very good condition.
