Choice German SA Dagger by Gebruder Heller-This is a very good early example with all of the correct textbook characteristics associated with early production, including solid nickel fittings. The nut-brown wooden handle has a perfect fit with an early nickel silver eagle and SA runic button that are both in very good condition. The reverse of the lower cross guard is group marked “Th” for the district of Thuringen (central Germany). The anodizing on the scabbard has a few spots on the reverse where it is a bit light, and shows some discoloration but overall, the scabbard is very good and has an attractive copper brown look to it. There is a small scrape/dent to the lower scabbard fitting boot, and the ball is flattened so please see photos. The blade with the “All for Germany” motto and the classic Gebruder Heller name is beautiful and other than the usual in and out marks, this blade rates as very good.
